Drafting Engineer

Engenius Matrix Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Drafting Engineer to join our dynamic  team. This role is critical in transforming concepts into precise and accurate engineering drawings that bring  industrial projects to life. Based in Bangalore, India, the ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of industrial  processes and be proficient in advanced drafting tools such as AutoCAD, 3D Design, BIM Model, and  Solid Works. The Drafting Engineer will play a key role in designing and developing technical drawings for industrial  projects, ensuring precision, compliance, and alignment with project goals. This role requires hands-on  expertise in drafting software and a keen understanding of industrial processes to deliver high-quality  outputs.  

 Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.  

 Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

 Is proficient in technical drafting and visualization.  

 Understands industrial processes and workflows.  

 Is a team player with excellent communication skills. 

The Drafting Engineer will:  

 Create detailed drawings and 3D models using advanced drafting tools like Solidworks. 

 Work on the fundamentals, advanced Modelling techniques, assembly creation and simulation 

 Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design intent is accurately represented. 

 Revise and update drawings based on client or internal feedback.  

 Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.

 Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, BIM Model, Solid Works, and other  drafting tools.  

 Develop and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) for complex industrial projects. 

 Collaborate with design teams to translate conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings. 

 Review technical drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications. 

 Work closely with project teams to integrate designs with industrial processes. 

 Maintain document control for drawings and ensure proper versioning.  

 Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts in coordination with other disciplines. 

 Support site teams with as-built drawings and design clarifications. 

Your day begins with a design review meeting where you gather inputs from engineers and project  managers. You will then focus on creating AutoCAD drawings and 3D models wherever necessary and also  coordinate with the team to resolve clashes. By the end of the day, you have submitted updated designs and  documented revisions for approval.

 Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering fields. 

 Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial drafting or design.  

 Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Design, BIM Modeling, and Solidworks.  

 Knowledge of industrial processes, workflows, and standards.  

 Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.  

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

 Experience working on industrial projects such as Pharma, FMCG, or Green Buildings.   Familiarity with project management tools and document control systems.  

 Knowledge of clash detection tools like Navisworks or similar software.  

 Expertise in advanced modelling techniques and automation tools for drafting. 

 Certifications in BIM or Revit will be an added advantage. 

 Proficiency in English is mandatory.  

 Knowledge of Kannada and Hindi is preferred for effective collaboration with local teams.
